It is only too much if it is beyond what you can reasonably afford. Higher quality bogu will generally last longer, which may make it a better value if you can afford the upfront cost. It is best to discuss it with your sensei if you are unfamiliar with the company since they may know of other manufacturers/retailers with which they have direct experience.
