Does pneumonia in the elderly make them susceptible to stroke?

Hmmm.....Good question,I'm not to much up on medical issues but am very much into science,My first impression though would be that any kind of respitory issues would in effect deprive the bloodstream and of course the brain of oxygen, Probably not a good scenerio,Rich
