How can I locate a computer from an IP address?

When you are tracing the IP address from the email information, you are not getting the IP address of the actual person who sent the email, but you are getting information that sent the email on the users behalf. In order to track this all the way back to the end user, you will need to get a series of court orders, possibly from multiple countries, depending on the point of origin.
