When I was 16 I broke my Femur, and had surgical pins implanted in it. Was in a spika cast for a month.?
I am now 48> Until about a year and a half ago, my knee was fine and gave me no problems, but then it blew up one day out of nowhere, and I had to have it drained and have a cortisone shot. It was immediately fine after that till about two weeks ago, when it got filled with fluid again somewhat. The doc drained and shot it, but 2 weeks later it is still kinda sore, and tender. It also feels like something inside is rubbing. It bends fine, but feels tenative and I get up carefully cuz it feels like something might give if I make too sudden a movement. Has anybody had any later in life expirience with surgically implanted pins in joints? The doc said it also could have arthritis. I am hoping I dont need any more extensive work on it this time. Any Advice? Thank You.
